Joaquín de Juan Trujillo

Joaquín de Juan has been a lawyer since 2007, when he began his career in the firm Arbex Consultores, in Madrid (Spain), providing tax advice in all its aspects to companies, professionals and high net worth individuals for nine years.

Afterwards, he has developed his career in firms such as Garrido Abogados and Mavens, advising both national and international clients.

He founded Abia Legal in 2024.

He has been involved in advising on numerous restructuring processes of corporate groups, a practice in which Joaquín has a large expertise, as well as in tax advice for the optimisation of direct taxation in terms of Personal Income Tax and Property Tax of professionals and high net worth individuals. He also has an extensive experience in providing tax advice and accounting advice to in order to comply with their direct and indirect tax obligations.

Joaquín holds a Bachelor of Laws by Universidad Complutense (2005) and completed a Master’s Degree in Tax Advice at the University of Navarra in 2006.

In addition, Joaquín completed a Master’s Degree in Accounting Management and Direction at Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF) in 2011.

Joaquín has been a professor of Real Estate taxation in the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at Centro Universitario Cardenal Cisneros.

• International restructuring of a group engaged in the production and marketing of flowers and floral ornaments, with an asset valuation amounting to 20,000,000 euros (December 2023).
• Negotiation of an agreement between a Spanish venture capital management company and a British debt fund, with an estimated volume of 10,000,000 euros (September 2023).
• Transfer of the stake owned by a Spanish family office in a company engaged in the pharmaceutical business, with a price amounting to 50,000,000 euros (November 2022).
• Advice on the issuance of corporate debt of a Spanish company for a volume of approximately 125,000,000 euros (June 2022).
• Transfer of the stake owned by the founders in a Spanish hotel chain, with a price amounting to 15,000,000 euros (July 2020).
